Description ORIGINAL EICKHORN, SOLINGEN squirrel holding sword TM. Aluminum hilt fittings show almost no wear/age with excellent detail to the pommel with Customs pattern oak leaves and crossguard with up-turned wing tips on Customs style langet eagle. The leather grip shows age/ wear, with one very tiny patch of leather showing wear/discoloration on lower obverse side of grip. Grip is complete with tight spongy aluminum wire wrap. Blade grades EX /near MINT with almost no wear. Leather-covered scabbard shows light surface wear. The nickel-plated fittings show some wear and are complete with undamaged headless retaining screws. As is correct for period produced Land Customs daggers, the incised decorative lines on the fittings appear only on the obverse surface. A rare dagger in truly excellent condition! Land Custom hangers are in mint condition.
