The Collings 00 14-Fret finds the sweet spot between a small-bodied and mid-sized instrument while bringing to the table a distinctive voice and character all its own. A featured showpiece at the 2025 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA this January, this new custom 002H 14-Fret is built with colorful Cocobolo back and sides paired with an Old Growth Sitka Spruce top with custom jet black top finish, herringbone top border, Ivoroid bindings and standard thinner 1 11/16″ nut width.The shorter 24 7/8” scale length combined with a relatively broad waist allows for a more delicate top-voicing, producing an openness that’s equally suited for accentuating subtle nuances as it is for digging in on single-note runs. It doesn’t take more than a few strums to reveal the pleasing midrange that distinguishes this size from other offerings.
