Description No maker, which is appropriate for a ‘36 chained SS dagger. This is the SS dagger the bulk of Third Reich dagger collectors would like to have, but very few do on account of the scarcity of availability. Nice black ebony grip with perfect fittings, insets, and one minor hairline crack running approximately ½” from lower grip fitting. The solid nickel-silver eagle is properly inserted. The SS roundel retains 80% of its enamel. The grip shows age with minor wear. The beautiful blade will grade EX /NM with typical runner marks but no speckles or nicks. Black lacquered scabbard retaining 90% of paint with minor scratches. The scabbard fittings shows age/wear and the ball tip is smashed in. Three dome head screws are intact and one is missing on the lower scabbard fitting. The SS Chain is correct for this dagger. EX
