Grosser Imperial Navy Damascus Sword Blade (29867)

Description   No maker. Large “peacock” pattern Damascus blade measuring 35 ½” in length features blued/gilted panels on both obverse and reverse. Obverse blued panel features gold floral pattern, military motif, and Imperial crown over Imperial eagle. Reverse blued panel features a gilted floral motif and military equipment to include swords, spears, and drums. Virtually no wear and only a few minor nicks to the cutting edge of the blade probably caused by years of storage and moving. Blade tang has not been threaded and features the stamped initials, “N-K” on the obverse with the reverse stamped, “Damasco”. This is a beautiful, museum quality blade!
