Beautiful wakizashi Signed “Echizen jyu Kanenori” in an excellent state of preservation. The blade is in very good condition and is certified by the NBTHK as Hozon, the most important Japanese sword preservation association in Japan. It also has both types of mountings, the koshirae and the shirasaya. The koshirae has very decorative and high quality elements such as the black lacquered saya or the fuchi kashira with gragon motifs in bronze and gold inlays. The polished sword is in exceptional condition with a sharp hamon and an elegant Hada pattern. Part of the elements on the koshirae are from Edo period while others are from XXth.
