Rare Type German Hand And A Half Sword 16th Century The very special and intricate German sword circa 1560 is by far one of the most interesting pieces we have had in the collection. This sword with is super interesting guard is an early example of German sword in excellent condition. The hilt comprised on two large side ring with finger guards and curved qullions, all parts having points with spiral design. The pommel sharing the same spiral design and leather bound grip. The blade is a double edge design which has an interesting engraving on the riccasso and two hear or spade shaped marking. The blade is in excellent condition with no play present. The lade seems to have been blunted over the years. The sword itself in very robust and maneuverable in hand.
