Venetian sword circa 1480 The hilt is comprised of a set of S shaped quillons, the pommel is large and the perfect counter weight to give it its flexibility. The condition of the grip is excellent, this appears to be the original and has been well preserved. The blade is a stocky 4.6 cm wide with double edge, two fullers run down each side of the blade. These extend approximately 60% of the blade, one side of the fuller is also stamped with an armourer’s mark. The overall condition is excellent on this piece. The sword is extremely balanced.
