The hilt is comprised of a set of straight quillons with the handle covered in leather which has been well maintained, this has beautiful patterns pressed into the leather. The pommel has a spectacular spiral design and shape. It makes the perfect counterweight for this enormous sword. The ricasso is stamped on either side with a “Crown” and letter “S T”. The blade snakes down in the flame-like motions and is a heavy duty blade, the blade shows extensive use as there are many areas which have been worked down or resharpened.
